Remote Possibility has posted their latest (master)piece, Give Someone You Love a Vegematic, in which they return to some of their more experimental roots.
It seems that Icepac, the driving force behind the band, was nowhere to be found to comment on the song, as he usually does. Instead, we get a glimpse into the backstory through excerpts of his diary.
12/20/2007 – Dear Diary, […] I’ve sent the instrumental (now named “Give Someone You Love a Vegematic”) to Sknoblogger. I hope he can do something with it.
12/23/2007 – Dear Diary, Got “Give Someone You Love a Vegematic” back from Sknoblogger. Oh my gosh, his work on it is brilliant! I love it, after I picked myself up off the floor (I’ve been rolling around and frothing at the mouth in delirium!) and brushed the chunks of broken furniture off my jacket, I knew it would be a hit.
I e-mailed it to our agent. Before he heard it, he didn’t think an instrumental had any commercial potential, but he vowed to flog this one, he said it’s the best thing he’s heard since he started in the business, representing popular megaphone singers such as Teddy Taylor.
I leave for Brazil tomorrow. The future looks very bright indeed!
Where are you Icepac?!
