I’ve been putting off upgrading sknoblog to the latest version of WordPress because it introduces a new system for the layout and appearance of the site, and I didn’t want to deal with the hassle.
However, it also fixes bugs, improves the management features and reportedly has better spam protection. As you may recall, I had to deactivate comments because I was getting so much automated comment-spam…
This morning, having nothing better to do (slow work week), I installed the new version next to the current version and am experimenting with it. I think I’ve figured out how to port the current design over to the new architecture, but there is still a risk that everything will blow-up in my face when I do the upgrade…
So if sknoblog is unavailable, or if you see a different or broken design and/or get errors, you know why…
