Just kidding. The MacBook is really a great machine. As I mentioned before however, it got uncomfortably hot during normal use, and very hot under stress.
Apple released a firmware update that dramatically lowers the MacBook’s operating temperature. It does so by turning the fans on more often, but at very low speeds, so they are not audible unless you press your ear to the keyboard (which isn’t as dangerous as it used to be!). Even if the fans were audible, my MB usually sits beside my iMac which is a loud MF, so I probably woudn’t hear them anyway.
I highly recommend the upgrade, as it has taken care of my only gripe about this machine, and I’m no longer scared that my wooden desk will burst into flames…
